Cohesive, Design-Led Bathroom Solutions for Every Project
Tell us about the new Water Controls range and what makes this launch significant for Fitzroy of London.
“We’re thrilled to be launching a new range of water control products designed specifically to complement our Gosfield Signature Collection. We recently added a range of Gosfield Accessories, including water control products, which means that we’re able to meet the needs of our customers by offering products that span both accessible and non-accessible spaces.”
How do the Water Controls work within inclusive design strategies, especially in settings like commercial environments, hotels and public washrooms?
“For interior designers looking to offer a modern, minimalist and contemporary designed space in any commercial or hospitality environment, the newly added products in the Gosfield Collection allow the same design language to be mirrored in both accessible and non-accessible spaces. Whether it’s the polished or brushed finishes, clean lines, or modular compatibility, everything works together in a beautiful and thoughtful way.”
Technical Innovation Without Compromising On Design
How has ease of use, safety and accessibility been built into the design of these controls?
“It’s important when developing new products, to ensure that all functions are easy to use and safe for those with accessible requirements. In addition to adding longer levers for simple thermostatic adjustment, we’ve also looked to add additional safety features to the products. As an example, our shower controls include a pressure balanced cartridge that automatically adjusts in the event of a drop in either hot or cold-water pressures to maintain the set temperature. This prevents scalding or cold-water shock to the user of the shower.”
Describe the technical innovation or user-focused features that differentiate these controls from others on the market.
“In addition to the traditional range of deck-mounted and wall-mounted taps we’ve also introduced a range of infrared products that allow for a touch free experience, improving general hygiene, minimising water consumption and reducing general wear and tear. From a technical perspective, all our water control products have been designed to demonstrate compliance with UK WRAS Regulation 4. This covers the legal requirements for water safety and efficiency. Significant testing and validation has been carried out in independent laboratories to ensure that all elements are aligned with our legal obligations.”
A Step Forward for Fitzroy of London
How has feedback from specifiers, designers or end-users influenced the final product?
“When it comes to the development process, it’s vital that we understand the needs of the customer and ultimately the end-user. Where we’d historically supplied products for accessible spaces, it was clear that many of our customers, specifiers and interior designers were looking for options that could span both accessible and non-accessible spaces. The Gosfield accessories launched earlier this year was step 1 on this journey. The launch now for water controls completes step 2. We have further exciting projects in our product roadmap that we intend to release later this year so it’s an exciting time for Fitzroy of London.”
What does this launch mean for Fitzroy of London’s direction moving forward in the accessible washroom space?
“As a specialist in accessible washrooms, it’s vitally important that we continue to offer our customers an exceptionally high level of advice and support. This new product launch marks a big step forward as we’re not just creating individual products - we’re creating luxury environments that support dignity, independence, and design excellence.”
