About 48 Dover Street

48 Dover Street is a contemporary workspace in the heart of Mayfair, set across multiple floors and designed by award‑winning architects Squire and Partners, with amenities including meeting rooms, breakout areas and a roof terrace.

The Brief

Washroom Washroom invited Fitzroy of London to contribute to Levels 2 and 3 at 48 Dover Street. The aim: deliver luxury accessible bathrooms that match the building’s refined aesthetic while meeting stringent accessibility and performance standards. The scheme needed to blend seamlessly with a premium interior language, maintain durability in a high‑traffic commercial setting, and support straightforward maintenance for facilities teams.

Our Approach

We specified the Signature range with the Gosfield (removable) collection in PVD Satin Anthracite, enabling a meticulous balance of design intent, robustness and long‑term serviceability.

  • Human‑centred, code‑compliant detailing: We aligned clear manoeuvring zones, transfer spaces, and reach ranges with current UK accessibility requirements.
  • Material integrity and finish continuity: The PVD Satin Anthracite finish provided a restrained, architectural tone that pairs with both warm timber and stone palettes - ideal for a hospitality‑led office environment - while resisting fingerprints and abrasion in daily use.
  • Removable components for lifecycle value: Gosfield’s removable option allows for easy swap‑outs and adaptive maintenance without invasive works - minimising downtime for the landlord and tenants.
  • Co‑ordination with the fit‑out: We worked closely with Washroom Washroom to sequence fixing points, services access, and tolerances, ensuring clean junctions with cubicle systems, vanities and wall linings for a visibly “built‑in” result.
  • Clarity for designers and contractors: We issued coordinated schedules, exploded assembly drawings, and finish matrices so architects, interior designers, and site teams could verify design intent at a glance and install efficiently.

The Result

The finished spaces deliver a cohesive, quietly luxurious experience that supports everyone - without drawing attention to the accessibility hardware itself. The Signature, Gosfield (removable) specification in PVD Satin Anthracite reads as part of the interior architecture, complementing Dover Street’s premium office environment with amenities like meeting rooms, lounge areas and a roof terrace.

Value to the Customer

  • Inclusive by design: The scheme exemplifies inclusive bathroom design that welcomes all users while keeping the visual language elevated and consistent.
  • Best‑in‑class lifecycle: Removable components streamline maintenance and upgrades, reducing disruption and long‑term cost.
  • Assured compliance: Clear documentation and on‑site coordination supported 100% compliance and build quality - vital in premium commercial settings.
  • Design confidence: Architects, interior designers and contractors gain a reliable template for future projects seeking the same blend of elegance, durability and accessibility.
