About Rackleys Luxury Wedding Barn
Set in the heart of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rackleys Luxury Wedding Barn is a beautifully restored venue nestled in seven acres of countryside. Just 25 miles from London, this light-filled barn offers a unique blend of traditional charm and contemporary elegance. Once a working farm, the venue has been meticulously refurbished to deliver a flawless backdrop for weddings, events, and celebrations. Its character, history, and stylish transformation make it a coveted destination for clients seeking uniqueness and distinction in an idyllic rural setting.
The Brief
Working in collaboration with The Alternative Bathroom Company and S&P Architects, Fitzroy of London was commissioned to supply luxury accessible bathrooms for both the Farmhouse Guest Room and the exclusive Bride’s Room. The client wanted elegant and distinctive bathroom features that would reflect the overall design ethos of Rackleys: rustic sophistication with a high-end finish. Equally important was ensuring the bathrooms were discreetly inclusive and accessible to all guests, without compromising on aesthetic value.
Our Approach
Understanding the design vision and the importance of marrying charm with modern functionality, our team proposed the Signature Range from the Gosfield Collection, finished in a deep bronze dark matt coating. This finish was chosen to harmonise with the venue’s restored timber beams, exposed brickwork, and luxurious detailing.
Our accessible bathroom experts worked closely with the project team to develop an integrated solution that delivered both form and function. From space planning to fixture placement, every detail was carefully considered to support inclusive bathroom design while maintaining the sophisticated style required for a premium event space. We ensured all elements met the highest standards for accessible bathroom products, without appearing clinical or intrusive.

The Result
The completed bathrooms seamlessly blend into the elegant interior scheme of Rackleys, offering guests a luxurious yet practical experience. The Gosfield Collection’s minimalist elegance and warm, tactile finish add a timeless quality to both the Farmhouse Guest Room and Bride’s Room, reinforcing the venue’s identity as a place where traditional charm meets contemporary comfort.
More importantly, the inclusive elements - such as discreet support features and carefully considered spatial layouts - enhance usability for all guests, ensuring that the bathrooms are beautiful, dignified, and fully functional. These are not just accessible; they are exquisite bathrooms and washrooms for all.
Value to the Customer
For interior designers working on heritage-inspired or boutique hospitality projects, Rackleys offers a compelling bathroom example of how accessible design can be seamlessly integrated into high-end environments. The project demonstrates that inclusive bathroom design doesn’t need to be compromised by aesthetics.
Fitzroy of London delivered solutions that balanced bathroom design expertise with creative problem-solving, aligning with the client’s vision while ensuring complete compliance with accessibility standards. This project reinforces our reputation as accessible bathroom experts, capable of delivering thoughtful, beautiful, and bespoke solutions that enhance how guests interact with their environment.
