About 1 Hotel, Mayfair
The Brief
The design team at GA Design sought to elevate the guest experience through inclusive bathroom design that felt both refined and deeply connected to the hotel’s eco‑conscious identity. They required solutions that delivered full accessibility compliance while maintaining the serene, natural aesthetic that defines the hotel’s interiors.
Fitzroy of London was appointed for our expertise in luxury accessible bathrooms, ensuring that each space balanced style, functionality, and sustainability.
Our Approach
Working in close collaboration with G.A Design, we specified products from our Signature Range, selecting the Gosfield Collection (removable) in a PVD Satin Anthracite finish. This finish complemented the hotel’s understated, nature‑inspired palette and added a sophisticated depth to the bathroom environment.
Our team of accessible bathroom experts partnered closely with G.A, providing technical insight throughout the project. We advised on appropriate compliance and the integration of our removable accessible bathroom products, ensuring that every element supported the hotel’s design narrative while meeting regulatory standards.
The removable functionality of the Gosfield Collection played a pivotal role. It allows the hotel to adapt rooms between accessible, semi‑accessible, and non‑accessible configurations with ease. Custom blanking plates in the same PVD Satin Anthracite finish maintain visual continuity when components are removed - preserving the design integrity of the space without disruption.
