About TRIBE Manchester
TRIBE Manchester Airport is a 4-star hotel located within walking distance of Manchester Airport’s terminals. Part of Accor’s TRIBE brand, the hotel places design at the centre of the guest experience, with vibrant, carefully curated rooms alongside TRIBE Table, an Italian restaurant, and TRIBE Café.
The hotel is positioned around the idea of design-led comfort, making the treatment of its accessible spaces an important consideration within the wider interior environment.
The Brief
Working with MYC Group, Fitzroy supplied accessible bathroom products from our Signature Range, specifying the Gosfield Collection in a Matt Black finish.
Our Approach
Fitzroy’s approach centres on making accessible bathroom design easier to integrate into the wider design intent.
For TRIBE Manchester Airport, products from the Gosfield Collection were supplied in Matt Black. This gave the project a defined, contemporary finish while providing the accessible elements required for the washroom scheme.
The project illustrates an important consideration when specifying luxury accessible bathrooms: functional requirements do not have to dictate a clinical aesthetic.
Selecting accessible products with the wider material and finish palette in mind allows architects and interior designers to take a more consistent approach to the guest environment. It also means accessibility can be considered earlier within the design process, rather than becoming a visually disconnected addition later.
The Result
The Gosfield Collection in Matt Black provides a design-led accessible solution suited to the contemporary character of TRIBE Manchester Airport.
It offers another useful bathroom example for hospitality specifiers considering how accessible provision can sit within a wider interior concept.
Rather than treating accessibility and aesthetics as competing priorities, considering them together can create spaces that feel more intentional and integrated. For hotels in particular, this helps maintain a consistent approach to the guest environment, including within accessible spaces.
Value to the Customer
For architects, designers and project teams, TRIBE Manchester Airport demonstrates a straight forward principle: incorporating accessibility into the design conversation from the outset creates greater opportunity for a cohesive result.
Working with Fitzroy gives specifiers access to bathroom design experts who understand the need to balance accessibility, design intent, budget and practical project requirements.
