The Brief

Interior design specialists Tapis & Co approached Fitzroy of London to collaborate on a solution that would align with The Bridge’s premium aesthetic while ensuring full accessibility and compliance with care home regulations.

The project required the installation of discreet, beautifully designed accessible bathroom products that would support residents’ varying mobility needs without compromising on style or comfort. Every detail needed to reflect the care home’s ethos: luxury, dignity, and inclusivity.

Our Approach

With years of experience designing luxury accessible bathrooms for high-end commercial spaces, we understood the importance of balancing elegance with usability. We recommended products from our Style Range, selecting the Marylebone Collection in a White finish that harmonised effortlessly with the interiors curated by Tapis & Co.

To address the care home’s specific functional needs, we provided:

  • Hinged support rail designed for strength and ease of use

  • Fold-down shower seats for safe, comfortable bathing

Both products exemplify our ethos of inclusive bathroom design, where every element enhances both form and function. By drawing on our accessible bathroom design expertise, we were able to craft a solution that complemented the surrounding space while providing genuine support for residents’ independence.

The finished bathrooms at The Bridge seamlessly integrate accessible bathroom products without any sense of compromise. The clean, sophisticated White finish of the Marylebone Collection delivers understated elegance, creating a calm and inviting environment for residents.

Care staff have praised the intuitive functionality of the support features, while the interior designers noted how effortlessly the fittings blended into the overall scheme — a key concern when creating welcoming environments for those with dementia or reduced mobility.
